  • Strengthen the brand

through effective leadership of the health and safety agenda.

Learning objectives

The programme is designed to help leaders:

  • Reduce accident rates, absence and sick leave
  • Increase productivity and profits
  • Improve their reputation among suppliers, clients and partners
  • Reduce insurance premiums and legal costs
  • Enhance their business continuity capability
  • Devise a personal action plan to improve their own and their organisations’ safety and health management

Who should attend?

This course was designed by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health for directors, senior leaders and executives. It can be run just for the Board or for the wider leadership team.

Format

  • Usually delivered as a one-day session (can be run as an overview half-day session if preferred, without the IOSH certificate)
  • Highly interactive, with plenty of discussion around different scenarios and issues of specific concern to you and your organisation
  • As a certificated programme, there’s an assessment at the end of the session. Learners use the IOSH diagnostic tool, accessed via a mobile app, to identify their current safety and health position against a set of critical questions. The tool recommends the actions they should take. At the end of the programme they make a commitment to a personal action plan to improve their own and their organisations’ safety and health management.

Special features

This is an IOSH certification programme.

Using a pre-course diagnostic tool, the session can be tailored to your organisation, sector or geographical location, making it relevant to any industry in any part of the world.
