Overview
Gary Bishop is an executive coach, facilitator and organisational leader with more than three decades of experience helping leaders, teams and organisations navigate complexity, accelerate growth and create meaningful, sustainable change. He works with senior leaders across the public, private and social sectors, supporting them to lead with greater clarity, confidence and impact.
Gary brings a rare combination of executive leadership experience, systems thinking and transformational coaching. Throughout his career he has founded, scaled and led organisations operating in highly complex environments, helping leaders balance strategic ambition with the realities of delivery, culture and human behaviour. His coaching enables clients to challenge assumptions, uncover new perspectives and create the conditions for lasting personal and organisational transformation.
As Co-Founder and Chief Executive of Arch Health, Gary has led the development of innovative healthcare services for people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage. Under his leadership, Arch has become recognised as a leading example of person-centred, integrated healthcare delivery. Prior to this, Gary founded and led Justlife Foundation where his work helped shape national conversations around housing, inequality and social justice while developing innovative approaches that continue to influence the sector today.
Alongside his executive leadership roles, Gary has coached senior leaders, entrepreneurs, founders, clinicians, managers. His coaching style helps people access their own wisdom, enabling them to move forward with greater clarity, ownership and purpose. His work is grounded in the belief that transformation begins with self-awareness which enables leaders to navigate change, inspire others and create cultures in which people and organisations can thrive.
Known for his warmth, authenticity and ability to connect with people from all backgrounds, Gary creates environments where individuals and teams can think more deeply, communicate more effectively and perform at their best. Clients value his ability to simplify complexity, challenge conventional thinking and help them see possibilities that were previously hidden from view.
Gary’s academic and professional qualifications include an MBA from Durham University Business School, a Diploma in Transformational Coaching (EMCC), a Diploma in Executive Coaching from the University of Manchester, an MA from Sheffield University He is also a regular speaker, facilitator and contributor to conversations on leadership, health, wellbeing and social change.
Gary is based in Brighton and works across the UK.
